Swine Flu– no you don’t get it from eating pork. It is easily transmissable, and to prevent infection it is important to be more aware of our hygiene, how we touch our face/mouth and hands. At this time the version of pandemic flu is spreading rapidly but it is not very deadly– it is not known if the virus will mutate.
Families with children, especially those with prior medical conditions, should immediately report any fevers to their doctors.

We also urge houses of worship & community centers to plan ahead–especially to gather lists of volunteers and reputable people as child care providers in case some schools are closed.
